ISSB 5 Days Schedule: Day-by-day



Once you have met the eligibility requirements for ISSB and have prepared yourself by reading ISSB preparation materials, it is natural to be curious about what will happen during the ISSB process. To help alleviate any concerns, the ISSB 5-day schedule is provided below. This schedule will give you an idea of the various tests and tasks you will be required to complete during the ISSB process. Knowing the schedule in advance can help you prepare and feel more confident when you arrive at the ISSB canter. It's important to keep in mind that all the hard work and preparation is to increase your chances of getting a recommendation from ISSB.


How to Prepare For ISSB At Home


1st Day (Arrival Day)

On the first day of ISSB, also known as the Day of Arrival, candidates will go through several steps to begin the process. These steps include:

  1. Reception: Candidates will be greeted by ISSB staff and directed to the appropriate areas.
  2. Checking of documents: Candidates will have to present their original documents, such as CNIC, educational certificates, and ISSB call letter, to verify their identity and eligibility.
  3. Allocation of chest numbers: Candidates will be assigned a chest number, which will be used for identification throughout the ISSB process.
  4. Allocation of rooms: Candidates will be assigned a room for the duration of their stay at the ISSB center.
  5. Photographs of candidates: Candidates will have their photographs taken for official records.
  6. Administration staff address: Candidates will be addressed by the administration staff, who will provide information about the ISSB process and expectations.
  7. Filling bio data forms: Candidates will be required to fill out bio data forms, which will include information such as personal details, educational background, and contact information.


2nd Day (Psychologist Day)

On the second day, also known as the Psychologist Day, the focus is on evaluating candidates' psychological behavior. The following tests and activities will take place:

  1. Opening address by Deputy President: The Deputy President will give an opening address to start the day's activities.

  2. Intelligence Test: Candidates will take an intelligence test to measure their cognitive abilities.

  3. Psychological Test: Candidates will take a psychological test that includes various sub-tests such as:

  • Word Association Test: which is know psychological test issb .Candidates are presented with a word and have to respond with the first word that comes to mind.
  • Sentence Completion: Candidates are presented with a sentence with a blank and have to fill in the missing word.
  • Picture Story Writing: Candidates are presented with a picture and have to write a story based on it.
  • Pointer Story Writing: Candidates are presented with a set of pointers and have to write a story based on them.
  • Merits/De-merits Writing: Candidates have to write about their own merits and demerits.
  1. Announcement of screening out result: Candidates will be informed of the screening out result and whether they will proceed to the next stage of testing or not.

  2. Remaining Psychological Tests: Candidates who pass the screening will continue with additional psychological tests. Candidates who are screened out will not proceed to the subsequent tests.


3rd Day (GTO Day)

Your 3rd day at ISSB Center will base on GTO tasks. An officer will guide you to perform different tasks and analyze you on your performance basis. These GTO tasks will be:

  1. Briefing
  2. Indoor Tasks
  3. Group Discussion
  4. Group Planning
  5. Outdoor Tasks
  6. Progressive Group Task (PGT)
  7. Half Group Task (HGT)
  8. Interviews

4th Day (GTO Day)

The fourth day also includes the GTO tasks. These will be as follows:

  1. Individual Obstacles
  2. Command Task
  3. Final Group Task (FGT)
  4. Interviews (leftovers)

5th Day (Conference Day)

Your last day at ISSB is comprised of conference, ending notes and final processing. This will include:

  1. Conferences
  2. Preparation of all the results
  3. Payment of TA/DA
  4. Departure
