Scholarships are available for students in intermediate/FA FSc, DAE, Bachelor's degree (BS)/Post Graduation, and Professional Degree programs. Recipients of the scholarship are expected to repay the amount by supporting another needy student's education after they complete their studies and find employment. The repayment can be made in manageable monthly installments. This approach ensures that the scholarship's impact is not limited to a one-time occurrence but instead creates a cycle of supporting future students in need.

The Alfalah Scholarship scheme conducts independent inquiries to verify the financial status of each student. The final decision regarding the award of scholarships is made by Alfalah's executive body. The entire process is typically completed within a maximum of three months. Due to limited funds, the scholarships are awarded to the most deserving students. The selection criteria primarily consider academic achievements, family income, and the number of dependents in the family. These factors play a crucial role in determining the recipients who are in genuine need of financial assistance to pursue their education.
